Get Started
Advanced Microsoft Teams Connector for Jira helps your team stay connected, informed, and productive by bringing Jira into Microsoft Teams. Whether you're a Jira admin, a project owner, or an individual contributor, this guide will help you make the most of the integration.
What You Can Do
With this connector, you can:
Track and manage Jira issues without leaving Microsoft Teams.
Get real-time updates in Teams channels or 1-on-1 chats.
Take action on issues directly from notification cards (comment, assign, change status).
Search for Jira issues and share them as rich cards.
Create new Teams channels from Jira issues (2-way only).
1-Way vs 2-Way Integration
2-Way Integration enables full interactivity between Jira and Microsoft Teams. You can receive notifications and take immediate action (like commenting, logging work, or changing issue status) from within Teams. It also includes features like personal notifications, search, and the Jira tab for viewing and editing issues.
Requires the Move Work Forward with Jira app installed in Microsoft Teams.
1-Way Integration allows Jira to send updates to Microsoft Teams channels via webhooks. It's a simpler setup, but you won’t be able to interact with Jira issues from Teams or receive personal notifications.
